Packaging Options

Standard Vial Options

  • 3.7ml (1 dram) Fisherbrand screw thread, amber, borosilicate, glass vials (Fisher Scientific catalog # 03-339-23B). Solid compound samples are packaged using black, rubber lined, plastic screw caps. Liquid compound samples are packaged using white, Teflon lined, plastic screw caps.
  • 2ml polypropylene, self-standing, graduated tube with screw cap (Denville Scientific, catalog # C19043).

Standard Vial Labels

Each vial is labeled with a vertically oriented Zebra 1.00" x 0.50" label (chemical and freeze/thaw resistant) with barcode (Code 93) and human readable ChemBridge ID number. In addition, the client/order code and weight of the compound are also indicated on the label.

Standard Vial Packaging Boxes

Vials are packaged in white carton boxes with internal dividers. Options include 96-vial box with 8x12 matrix and 300-vial box with 15x20 matrix.

ChemBridge can also package using client-provided vials and/or labels.

Minitube Rack Option

Standard 96-well Format Microtube Rack

Thomson Instrument Co. 96-well microtube rack plates are used for 1 to 5mg amounts of dry compound (or for dry film). The rack consists of 1.2ml individual tubes formatted in a 96-well format plastic rack (Thomson catalog # 896040; www.htslabs.com). The tubes are sealed with either a 96-cap mat (Thomson catalog # 359748) or 8-cap strips (Thomson catalog # 896055). A transparent top cover is used to close the rack.

Standard Labels

  • Rack: The microtube rack is labeled on the long side at the A1 end with a horizontally oriented Zebra 1.00" x 0.50" label (chemical and freeze/thaw resistant) with barcode (Code 93) and human readable rack number.
  • Tubes: Each individual microtube is labeled with an ultra-thin Zebra label (chemical and freeze/thaw resistant) with a vertically oriented barcode (Code 93) and human readable ChemBridge ID number.

Standard Format

The default format is 80 samples per rack in columns 2 to 11 with columns 1 and 12 empty (no tubes). Other formats can be accommodated.

ChemBridge can also package using client-provided racks and/or labels.

Monoblock Plate Options

Standard 96-well Monoblock Plate Options

  • 96-well Corning 0.32ml monoblock, v-bottom plates (Corning catalog # 3363; www.Corning.com) for DMSO volumes up to 200ul.
  • 96-well Thomson Instrument Co. 0.65ml deep well monoblock, v-bottom plates (Thomson catalog # 931512B; www.htslabs.com) for DMSO volumes up to 650ul.
  • 96-well Ritter riplate 1.2ml deep well monoblock, u-bottom plates (Ritter catalog # 43001-0016; www.ritter-online.de) for DMSO volumes up to 1.0ml.
  • 96-well Ritter riplate 2.5ml deep well monoblock, u-bottom plates (Ritter catalog # 43001-0020; www.ritter-online.de) for DMSO volumes up to 2.0ml.
  • 96-well Thomson Instrument Co. riplate 2.2ml deep well monoblock, v-bottom plates (Thomson catalog #951652h; www.htslabs.com) for DMSO volumes up to 2.0ml.

Standard 384-well Monoblock Plate Option

384-well Corning 0.2ml polypropylene monoblock, square well, v-bottom plates (Corning catalog # 3347; www.Corning.com).

Standard Labels

Monoblock plates are labeled on the long side at the A1 end with a horizontally oriented Zebra label (chemical and freeze/thaw resistant) with barcode (Code 93) and human readable plate number. Standard label size for plates of 14mm height is 1.00" x 0.24". Standard label size for plates taller than 14mm is 1.00" x 0.50".

Plate Seals

Aluminum heat-seals (REMP catalog # 30021838; www.remp.com) are used as standard closure for Corning and Thomson plates and the Ritter 1.2ml plate (please inquire about cap mat or cap strip options). Ritter 2.5ml plates are sealed with a cap mat.

Standard Format

  • 96-well plates contain 80 compounds per plate in columns 2 to 11 with columns 1 and 12 DMSO only (no compound). Custom plate formats can be accommodated; additional charges may apply.
  • 384-well plates contain 320 compounds per plate in columns 3 to 22 with columns 1, 2, 23 and 24 DMSO only (no compound). Custom plate formats can be accommodated; additional charges may apply.
